THE SEVEN WAYS OF RECITATIONS

ACCORDING TO IMAM SHATIBI

When the counsellors first embark on the discussion for the content of the MIRC Programme at Cluster A4, we all agreed the importance of making Quran as the main core of the curriculum. However, which science of the Quran was the issue.

Knowing that most of the inmates have some kind of affiliations with the Secret Societies, we thought that we need to link the issue with that surrounding the revelation and compilation of the Quran.

We chose the science of Qiraat to show that any form of grouping or brotherhood is encouraged if it will bring harmony and love which will instill responsibility, conviction and commitment to our submiission to Allah. Through the Seven Qiraat we explore the groupings of the Qaris and Rawis and the effect of their noble deeds to us today.  The science of Qiraat would surely create an impact to all Quran readers if they care to understand the historical implications of its birth and the wonderful effect it puts on the rest of the sciences.

We humbly present this segment to all our site visitors. May Allah open all our hearts to embrace the Quran in its wholesome intended purpose.  We hope this segment would shed some light on the subject.
