Objective – To contribute to the creation of positive and participative Muslim outreach du’at that will function harmoniously within the framework and institutions of the wider society. 

Course Outline – 

The course contents of the theoretical part of the course will include ;

·         Introduction to the Singapore Prison and Criminal Justice System 

-          Officer from Spore Prison 

-          Legal Officer 

·         Introduction to the Health Service System (hospitals, eldercare centre & hospices) 

-          Medical Doctor 

-          Elderly Care 

·         Introduction to the Education System in Singapore 

-          MOE Officer  

·         Introduction to Social & Community Services Agencies in Singapore 

-          Mendaki and PPIS 

-          MCYS 

·         Methodology of Effective Communication & Islamic Diplomacy 

·         Pastoral Care in Islam 

·         Counselling – Comparative & Holistic Approach of Counselling 

·         Spiritual Development 

– The Quranic Approach of Rehab & Healing

– Understanding Inmates spiritual needs and inclinations through Quranic perspective

·         Interfaith Relation and Cross-Culture Management. 

PRACTICUM 

The practical part of the course will involve at least 60 hrs of placement in a prison or a hospitals, family service centres, welfare homes or hospices.
